what is this?

On the shoforum emblem (pic. of engine), on the right side (a hose) runs into a ? (part #E4ZF-9C915-AA). My hose looks a little worn or dry rotted.

E4ZF-9C915-AA = fuel vapor purge solenoid

borg warner # = CP505
motorcraft # = CX1158

that would be the hose off of the intake(at throttle body that goes to the purge solenoid then to the vapor purge canister

truthfully... you are probably gonna have to replace...hose...solenoid...and canister...

however.... i'd start with the hose... its cheapest

its a common problem you are having.... some say to bypass the solenoid..... i'm not sure that this plan is a good idea.... however.... to each his own
