if it doesn't come out, cut the hose shorter if you can.. you can also try crushing the end of it if it is plastic, be very careful not to let the pieces fall in.. I had trouble getting mine out too because of how dried up the hose was.. I just replaced the hoses. Only needed about 1 ft of hose. Used a brass T. If you don't replace it you are letting your car pollute more than necessary, which is bad. It will cost you like $5 to fix it properly.

BTW you can get the plastic 3/8 hose barb tee from www.Mcmaster.com for the cheap. A package of ten for $4.25 Part number 5121K771

I can't believe that AutoZone doesn't have it in the Help! section of parts.
