what does this do?

OK there's is a little rubber hose that comes out of the intake between the IAC and the TB it goes down behind the coil pack...what is it called? Sorry, I'm sure a picture would help a lot. any ideas? I ask because it has a hole in it. Btw with the car running I hear a hissing sound and when I put my fingoer on it ther's a vacuum coming from it. Any ideas?

that hose goes to your vapor canaster or charcoal canister. replace the hose. check shotimes.comm under maintenance for smell gas fuses for more info.

Well I tried to check the maintence section of SHOtimes.com but page comes up blank. On my way back form Taco Bell about 30 min. ago, the CEL came on breifly then went off. I'm guess that bad hose might have triggered that...?

Probably. You now have a vacuum lewak which is screwing up your fuel mixture.

Your local auto parts store will have bulk vacuum line for replacement.

The line actually goes to the canister purge (CP) valve and is part of the emission control system.
