I've had enough with my faded, crappy headlight lenses. I need some new bulbs that will help me. I want either the PIAA Platinum Super Whites or Xtreme Whites. What is the better bulb? Which bulb will give the better lighting? Also will I need anything else like a high wattage wire harness? Thanks guys.

I did not have any problems with the harness using the PIAA bulbs. Lighting was better than stock, but not nearly as good as the HID conversion.

I think I'm gonna go with the Xtreme Whites and find some 3M plastic cleaner and polish. Any thing would be better than what I have right now. My fog lights work better than my headlights and my blinkers are brighter too. I don't really care about HID...I just wanna see better at night so I don't get in an accident.

Does anybody know the best way to take the lens off of the headlight? I've heard that heating it up a little bit will make it easier to separate.

I ended up getting the PIAA Platinum Super Whites. It was the only ones they had there. They work much better than what I had before. I've tried plastic cleaner, rubbing compound and polish and really haven't had much luck. I think that when I get a chance I'm gonna try and score a set from a 92 or 93 from a junkyard and replace them.

spray new headlamps with Dura-Tuff clear marine urethane- has LOTS of UV inhibitor, very tough stuff too. Used for 6 years, no yellowing, etc.

Where do you get the Dura-Tuff? I looked through westmarine.com and they don't have anything that specifically is uv-resistant... can you get the DuraTuff at Home Depot?

I'm going to try to redo my headlights but this time I'm going to start at 200 grit and work up..
