Hey guys and gals, I just learned today that Chuck's coming home from Iraq is just temporary; he has to go back on the first of August. How about we have a get together on Sunday afternoon out at my place to welcome him home from the war and give him a good send-off back. We'll supply the eats for dinner (it's too dang hot for lunch out here).

SHOw up around 1-2 PM if you want to work on your car, later if you just want to say hi and goodbye. We'll get back with everyone here on final dinner time. Probably have a bonfire and beer drinking after dinner.

Well, dang. I won't be back until mid-August so I'll miss getting to say hi to Chuck. So everybody else say hi and hand him a beer for me. That way he won't remember that I wasn't there.

Anyway, sorry to miss the welcome/sendoff Chuck...catch ya next time.

I'll be there for some of the afternoon.

If possible I'd like to take a look at the brakes, been a while since I've looked at them so that would be good.

Otherwise just to good to talk to you all and complain about the immigration stuff I'm going through.

I'm about 75% sure I can make it, maybe 80. It'll be me, my 11 year old and the new baby if that's OK.

Troy,

Kids are fine. We can teach the 11 year old to drive with the golf cart so he'll be ready for the Zuke when he hits 16.

You should see him shift the Miata. Only trouble he has is 3/2 down shift. Heck, sometimes I even have trouble with that one and I'm sitting in the driver's seat, he's doing it left handed. :)

Haha, thats funny with your son shifting the miata. My dads friend out here had a 91 or so miata that he would lend us when we visited out here. He would let me shift from the passanger seat too. That was a lot of fun. ...one time I shifted before my dad said I should...and he didn't have the clutch in... :nut: :snicker:
