Hi folks kinda new here. I put a zex kit 82011 on my 92. Its runs great and pulls hard but I have an issue with the idle when the Nitrous is engaged. WHen its engaged the idle is up ~ 1400 RMP vs. 900 for stock. I have the NMU wired to a MSD digital window switch that supplies a ground to the NMU for a certain RPM range.

The idle goes up even with the bottle closed so I know its not because its leaking N2O. I am wondering if the window switch is messing up the signal from the TPS. Seeing as the circut is closed with the NMU activated minus the ground could it be leaking voltage for the TPS output signal? I know I need to check this by using a volt meter but I currently don't have acccess to one.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Well, called the ZEX-tec line, that was the biggest waste of 30 minutes on hold of my life. Hope to do more research this weekend and get to the bottom of it.

Checked the TPS voltage. with window switch bypassed; v=1.0 at idle postition with NMU activated and de-activated. WIth window switch on; v=1.22 NMU activated, 1.0 NMU de-activated. Hence the 1400 RMP idle with the NMU activated. Any guesses why it does this? Spoke to my N2O vendor and he said this is uncommon and shouldn't be the case adn verified that the window switch and NMU is wired properly.

Sorry, I did not seee this until now.

The first thing you should do is reset the NMU to wide open throttle and idle. Follow the setting procedure located in the manual. It sets it to WOT but if I'm not mistaken it also sets it for idle so it does not screw with the idle. Try that and get back to me.
