Anyone have any pictures of freshly painted gen3's? I want to see some colors (could be stock/mfr colors) or better yet, custom colors or bright colors (like red).

I was thinking about cherry red, but I'm still uncertain about it. What do you all think?

What color is your SHO? Unless you are going to have it jammed I would stick with the stock color. What you could do is go around and find a color you like that is close to yours and grab the paint code and have yours painted that color.

Well, I just said paint for simplification. But I'm actually wrapping the car in vinyl as it would cost me about $50 for the vinyl.

Has no one painted a gen3 an exotic or non-stock color like people have done with the gen 2's?

Wrapping a whole car in vinyl is alot of work and I would assume very hard to do without leaving bubbles in the vinyl.

Sounds like you want more of a candy color.

Vinyl is for houses not for cars- sorry had to

Please, vinyl isn't for houses either IMO; hate plasticland vinyl houses.

Don't vinyl your car. As mentioned, what color is it currently? I think my favorite gen 3 colors are white, silver, and toreador red; go with one of those :thumb:

Wow, you guys are all misinformed.

Please take a look at the company I work for:

http://www.wrapitupvehiclewraps.com

This is why I can get it done the right way and done at material cost.

Vinyl (if done right) can look like a painted car.

This is why I said painted instead of vinyl. So, regardless of material, what color you guys think would look good?

I would have to differ in opinion vinyl may come close, but it's just not the real thing and never will come close in my eyes.

Regardless, I would have to say a matte black, silver, red, and you can never go wrong with blue-350Z blue that is.

Well, of course you can notice the difference close up, but so you can with a painted surface and blemishes too, so it's kind of a null point.

But I will try out those colors. I've always liked matte finishes.

I've always thought they should have offered the 96 SLO blue on the SHO's.

I've seen pix of a few painted blue and it looks pretty good. Never seen 'the one' real blue 96 supposedly out there.
