Hey All,

I'm a newbie around here (Picking up My first SHO this afternoon) but I thought I'd let you know that my Car Club (Central VT Kustom Klassics) has a cruise-in, the second Saturday of each month during the summer starting this June. All types of cars are welcome and we usualy have between 80-120 cars. We also have a 50-50 raffle and door prizes donated by local companies.

The location is the Central VT Shopping Center on the Barre-Montpelier road (US 302) in Berlin VT. If anyone is interested I'll post a set of detailed directions. Time is from 5 PM till dark. (usualy 9-9:30) We have a DJ for tunes as well. Food is available from the Mexican place accross the road, and the Pizza Hut and Chinese Buffet in the shopping center. There's also an Advantage Auto Parts there if you break anything or run out of Armor All

Hope to see some of you folks there

Brian

PS: Sometime this summer I'll try to get down to the Breakfast in MA

The first cruise-in is sceduled for June 11th. Hopefully we'll have some good weather.

Here's the directions for those that might want to attend.

From the metro Boston area: Approx 3 1/2 hours

I-93 north to Concord NH, Then North on I-89 all the way into VT. Get off at exit 7. Go through the 3rd light, the road will split. Stay right (sign will be for Montpelier, US 2 and US 302) at the bottom of the hill turn right. At the next light, go Left and you will be in the middle of the Show :)

From Western Mass and the Hartford CT area. Approx 3 hours

I-91 north to I-89 in White River Junction VT then I-89 North. then follow directions above.

From the Albany Area: 3 hours

I-87 North to Lake George, (I think it's exit 20) then take NY 149 to Fort Anne and the jct with US 4. Take a left and follow US 4 East into Rutland VT. At the jct of US 7 turn left and take US 7 north about 2 miles (city driving) US 4 will split again to the right. Stay on US 4 about 6 miles or so. Take the Left onto VT Rt. 100 North untill the jct with VT 107 (Y intersection... stay right) Stay straight at the Junction with VT 12. (about 5-6 miles), In about 2 miles you will cross a bridge there will be a T intersection. Go Right. In about 2 miles will be I-89. Get on I-89 north to exit 7 and then follow the instructions above.

If you would like a different route you can stay on US 4 all the way to I-89 just north of White River Jct. but you will be passing through all the tourist traps and traffic in Woodstock and Quechee VT. It's also about 45 minutes longer that way with light traffic.

For places to stay, there are several chain hotels in the area as well as some really nice B&B's

Drop me a PM if you need any other info

Thanks for the info Brian. I'll spread the word around and see if some of the guys would be interested in a road trip. Could you post a link to any of the hotel/motels in the area. Good luck. :thumb:

Not too far a ride from Newport. Also your site was very informative about the CV joint boot problem I'm having. The Chilton Manual didn't have half the info I needed... SHOPP did though

About 2 1/2 hours from Springfield.. I'm going to try to get to one of em... But the SHO is not coperating.

If this thing keeps acting like it has been... I'm gonna sell it. I've owned the car for exactly one week and I've been able to drive it 2 days. My right cat plugged up so bad that the catalyst actualy started to melt. I've got the exhaust flowing again but it's still running like crud. I also blew the front exhaust gasket from the back pressure when the cat plugged. The second SHO I bought for parts has a bad tranny leak but I haven't been under it to look where it's coming from. Maybe I'll get lucky and it's something simple like a pan gasket.... It would be nice since it does run well.
