My brother picked up the Fprs part and it says...Cable-Sensor, and has heat shield wrapped around it. Is this the VSS cable ot the lower speedo cable off the ATX tranny. My speedo does not work. He also said to install the VSS cable I don't have a y pipe to drop on a 94 stock ATX. What's the scoop guys. Mike

No Y-pipe on your atx? I guess you are running open headers then? YES you DO have a y-pipe to drop on the car, it holds the o2 sensors, and from what I have heard, you might have to drop it down to get better access to the sensor. I have also heard that it isn't necessary too. I am going to do this soon, and will keep you guys posted on how it goes..

J,
I tried to change my VSS without dropping Y-pipe.
I couldn't do it. I am trying again tomorrow.
Good Luck

I recently replaced the VSS on my 93 atx. Definitely had to drop the Y pipe. If I ever need to do it again, think I will also remove the rear exhaust manifold for a bit more room.
