Update on heater !!!!

So I've replaced the thermostat and that wasn't the issue of not having any heat ...next step I disonnect the heater hoses that run through the firewall to the heater core and flushed through both lines and have continuous flow through the lines so the heater core isn't clogged, lastnight I shine a light through the vents to see if the actuator doors move and they're working fine so what else could it be ???

There are two doors - the diverter door, which changes where the air flows, and the temperature control door, which changes the temperature of the air. The one you can see from the vents is the diverter, not the temp control. To see if the temp control door moves, you need to drop the glove box door - its behind there.

You've done everything I can think of to try and eliminate stuff not under the dash. Pretty confident now you'll have to dig in to fix it

There should be write ups on how to do this and there are videos on you tube you can find that either have the Taurus or have a vehicle with similar design so you get the concepts

If it's the one I'm sure you're referring that's on your left behind the glove box then that one works with no problems

Ok went back to the original post. so maybe as ruby posted over there that heated coolant is not reaching the heater core for some reason. Collapsed hose and I would also make sure the cap is good for holding pressure.

There's no signs of leaks from the rad cap but I'll trace the hoses from the rad and see

If it's the one I'm sure you're referring that's on your left behind the glove box then that one works with no problems

Its possible that the actuator moves but the door is broken. That is a common problem with Explorers, but can happen on the Taurus also.

Well it is a 24yr old car and i doubt any of those components have ever been replaced I'm kinda on the verge to just say **** it and replace it but I don't wanna throw money at it just yet i got one more step to try out and thats tracing all the radiator hoses and maybe flush that portion out to see if there's any flow

Like both posts above. There are only so many ways to explain this and they are shrinking. If you don't have a blockage to the h core then you're just going to have to grab a snorkel and dive under there

There is some risk in man-handling those short hoses going to your heater core, the core is easily broken and your interior fills with sweet smelling vapor.

Since you are over that hurdle and it seems successfully, I would get a long heater hose (5/8 I think) and see how long it takes to fill a 2 liter coke bottle.

Then only do the backflow routine on the heater core flush, but it sounds like you may have done it, but only the backflow method gets rid of any sludge or fouling material.

Then, run a hose to the heater core, and then route the return line to the 2 liter coke bottle and see how long it takes to fill it.

If you have the hoses installed currently, run the car up to temperature and feel with your hand to see that both hoses to the heater core are actually getting hot. If you feel heat on the inlet hose and heat on the outlet hose then you should feel heat inside the cabin which would suggest a blend door problem. If the outlet hose is significantly cooler than the inlet hose then you have a blockage in the heater core. If neither hose seem to be getting that hot then you are low on coolant or have air trapped in the system restricting the flow. Either way, the temperature of the two heater core hoses will point you in the direction you need to be going.
