So Ive been having problems with my car not idling properly and surging at steady throttle. The car throws a 332 code and says weak # 3 cylinder during the cylinder balance test. I unplugged the vac line from the EGR valve and plugged it and no difference in idle....so that should tell me thye sensor is working. Next I put a vac line on the EGR itself and sucked...the idle dropped, so that tells me the EGR valve itself is good. I cleaned the EGR port through the intake but symptoms remain. Would the next logical step be to focus on plugs and/or wires?...BTW, I already replaced the IAC and cleaned the MAF.

No, that tells you nothing. Well, it tells you that the EGR solenoid isn't stuck open but it does zero to test the DPFE sensor.

The 332 code has nothing to do with a rough idle or surging problem. Ignore it until you solve your other problems.

Rough running issues that don't generate a trouble code can usually be traced to plugs and/or wires. Start there.

Also, please stop creating new threads for the same problem. One thread is sufficient.

sorry about that.....So Ive read on here somewhere that the wires arent supposed to touch each other...could that have something to do with it?
