I'm looking to put 1 neon under each front seat in my '95, but I don't really feel confident installing them myself as I have no electrical experience. I live in the Seattle area, and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get the job done nicely for a reasonable price. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Just about any car audio place can hook those up for you. My friends shop charges $20 for two 12" neons if you buy them from him. Look in the yellow pages for some car audio install places. Call around, you'll find someone.

If you are ever down the Centralia way, I would help you hook them up. Fairly easy install.

I'm gonna buy one of those 4-way 12-volt plugs that go into the lighter, and I'm gonna buy 2 12" blue neons to place under the seats. Is this a good idea, or should I do it another way?

If I were putting them in my car, I would hard wire them to the back of the lighter or radio and then add a switch somewhere, and a fuse! (you might even be able to get away with taking power from the wiring for the power seats). That way you don't need a big 3 or 4 way adapter on the lighter and you don't have any wires running out in the open. That makes for a cleaner install and it would be much less noticeable, until you turn them on.

Around Seattle, I would check with Sound Advice, for most likely the best price. I know that Car-Toys will do it, or possibly Magnolia Hi-Fi. All of those places would do a good job and best of all they actually know what they are doing, although I sometimes wonder about Car-Toys.
