I unbolted my flex pipe today to see what it sounded like and holly ****! :dribble: It's SOOOO loud my head was vibrating along with everything in my sho. I drove around my neighborhood and EVERYONE turned to look and see where that loud noise was coming from, I loved it! Then I hit the highway and a 5.0 wanted to race me...this is the first time some WANTED to race me without me messin with em or blowin by em. So we did and of course I won. :D Then on my way back home I drove by the ford dealer and it was funny to see all the salesmen heads pop up looking to see what it was. I drove by a cop as well and he gave me the thumbs up! I was shocked that he didn't pull me over. I think I have fallin in love agian with this car...we're getting married on sat!

im gonna do it to mine.
To bad i have a 6 though
anyone want rasp, im gonna have plenty to go around.
You know, i really dont think it will be that raspy. cause as of right now i just have the stock y-pipe, and straight pipe back to a straight through muffler.
I know that the piping covers some of the rasp, but hmmm, i might try that. Need to get another gasket though, so i dont put the old one back in.
Oh yeah, i love the way they sound open. I have a sound clip on my phone, the one from v8sho.com, with the black one running from a stop. MMMM V8 :dribble:

One thing though, if any of you guys do this be warned you have NO tq at all. It just plian sucks but hp in the high RPM band is great and in 2nd gear it feels like there is still power up to red line. Now it's time for an exhaust cut out :D

The car sounds unreal doesn't it? Unfortuneatly it's way too loud to drive around town for any extended length of time without your ears beginning to ring. Oh ya, In before "Mr. Anonymous" gives his speech about blowing up your motor because you unbolted your flex pipe! :bonk:

Blow the motor......? How will that blow the motor? I know that If the cats are bad it can suck that stuff into the engine because lack of back pressure. The RPM did stay pretty high but I wasn't too worried. I only had it off for about 10min to see what it sounded like.

it won't no worries there. nice sound though! I was able to get mine off mostly with my dad and myself at the end of a torque wrench (just because it was the longest one we had) too both of us to break the bolts loose from the rust. and had to cut the last one off.

been there, loved it. i've done it with a standard 3/8" rachet and the appropriate (sp?) socket, but i live in texas. i find myself shutting the car off at the sight of a cop.

I drove around for a day and a half running off the y-pipe. Everything is ok. I never did drive by a cop, though.
