just wondering if a tdo4e 50 trim would be to small only lookn for 8 psi i dont know if i maped it out correct i can get that turbo front mount and waste for 175 turbo is good no play

way too small. im running a gt35r at the rear bumper and its almost too small for me. i could probably go a size bigger and be fine. at the front of the car my turbo would be about 2 or 3 sizes too small.
a GT3582R is good for more than 600 wheel horsepower, so im certain it is not too small for you.
the tdo4e is a good match for the money, but if you are going to do it the GT35 is a really good choice.

horsepower is all relative when it comes to turbo sizing... A 16g is good for upwards of 400 horsepower(evo III big 16g is good for 450), but having 400+ HP at 3000 rpms and 200 after that is useless. Compressor maps and efficiency islands are where you get the properly sized turbo from. I am out of my efficiency island in the upper and lower rpm range but perfect in the center(exactly why I chose this turbo for my setup). When you are running out of steam at the top of the rpm band because the housing(A/R) is not correctly sized then the next size up would be perfect. Size is not always about the turbine wheel itself. It is about the housing A/R trims and such as well. and as I said, mine is slightly too small... it runs out of steam around the top. If I went up a size it would have more top end but mid range and low end would suffer horribly. I'm not saying I am unhappy with it. In fact the opposite is true. For my setup it is perfect for how I wanted it to be. but it is still slightly too small...

TD04e is a VW turbo IIRC,matched to 1.8L engines.
Way too small for a good flowing,high revving V6.
The GT35r is an excellent choice for a SHO,IMO.

) Any 50 trim is a complete waste on a SHO . The SHO moves way to much air for that to be effcient at all . Mines bigger then that and is way undersized , It already spools almost instantly and will run out of steam up top . I'd be looking for a something around .70 AR .
Trbosho what expierence do you have with turbo SHO's to be so certian about what parts are ideal ?

**** mine is an .82 trim exhaust and .70 on the intake.

Living in dallas there are only about 10 turbo sho's hanging around, having been able to ride in them prior to building my kit helped alot.
My sho will indefinately be my kid hauler and daily driver so I only plan on 400whp~ which is easy enough with a p or q trim t04s 60-1
Proof or ban. Having lived a few hours away my entire life, and having a turbo SHO for 10 years, I have seen/heard of exactly zero other turbo SHO's in the area. Does not mean some do not exist, but I call a big ol'e can of BS on there being anywhere close to 10 in ALL of texas.
EDIT: Perhaps turbosho was speaking of 2010 SHO's, as I am sure there are plenty of them in the DFW area. Of course, I am sure there are also a ton of 10 sec 2010 SHO's in the DFW area, just nobody on the forum besides him knows about them
10 turbo SHO's in Dallas? If you're talking about gen1/2 cars, I'd have to see proof. Regardless of whether or not the owners are on the forum, I'm sure we'd know about it out in that area.

Ban really? The burden of proof falls on th accuser, there is no way for me to find he names of these people. When you work and manage performamce and race shops you see tons of cars for dyno days. Also dfw is huge in terms of car enthusiest.

Also, I would think someone with a turbo SHO would take note of the other people coming into their shop with other turbo SHO's. Boosted SHO's (sans Gen4's) are a rare breed on a rare car...

I'd place a bet that there are no more than 2 dozen turbo SHO's (gen 1,2&3) in the entire country.
