Denso IK20s for the plugs and motorcraft or taylor wires. The plugs are pricy, but they were highly recommended to me.

on another note today i was able to make a wot run to 60-65 with 7¼psi or so and it was pulling strong very strong had 4 ppl in the car 3 of witch was over 200lbs. :D pulled strong on the freeway too. i think its more of my maf harness being the problem.. maybe the engine tweaks and the wires ground out or something i really dont know... (i just twisted them together I KNOW not smart todo but i didnt have any but connectors or electric tape.) so im gonna first fix the harness and oil return line that keeps bursting!!! arrrrgggg.... gonna make a metal return line probably stainless if i can find some.

i dissagree with the knock statement i drove my stang around for about a year with teh wrong ecu running WAY lean.. it rattled and knocked all over the place when i boosted it... (honest human mistake) the pistons where stockers 155k miles.. came out looking like new no damage.. re ringed it and it was new again (blown head gasket from running lean) so i do know the sound of lean knock.. like marbles in a tin coffe can. :p sorry just thought id bring that up.

5.0L have MUCH thicker #2 ring landings that stock SHO pistons, but you don't have to take my word on it.

The RETURN line is bursting? What's it made of? Is something restricting it at the pan, mabe too small of a fitting or too much blow-by pressure?

You need to really vent the crankcase on your motor also. The Blow-by is tremendous on FI stock motors.

half-way there, I think.
I know from first hand knowledge, that once you here knock on a FI SHO motor, you have already broken a piston. The hicup you described reminds of when PanamaPat's car broke 2 ring lands. Pulled nice and strong, then hicup and pulled strong again. Of course the blow by coming out of the oil cap was a dead give away too.

ok i should of worded that better..... there is no restriction... it just like rubs up on something and it tares and starts to **** oil .. im just useing heater hose for the return line. im gonna Try to make a metal line for it so this will stop being a problem. oh yeah and i have the crank case fully vented so thats all good :thumb:

Id figure itd be running lean with unmetered air entering the intake.

I still stand by my previous statement and think you should park it until you figure out these issues. But i guess if your putting a 3.2 in it, boost away at 5lbs till it doesnt run anymore.

its not sucking air into the intake any more... it is under pressure, Rob.
only at idle is when that might happen.

I hate to see that you are going to try and break this car. But could the problem be that with higher boost, the WOT timing pull is more noticed. Like the car does not like that.

No boost here. Just reading along. If I sound way off, sorry.

well im not Trying to **** this car i really want it to keep working...(but if it dies then its time for a 3.2) just for now i have no choice since i have no money to fix it. been looking for a job so i can do this thing the right way.. and the timeing shouldnt be pulled unless if thats what the sho ecu does on its own... but i dont know much about the sho's tuning so i dunno. this things got about 130k miles on it pretty sure with no 120k mile stuff done to it... so im playing with fire slapping a turbo on this car... but so far so good just working out lil bugs like the discharge tube bursting a thumb sized hole in it under boost hehe.

how many posts have I read about this car and have yet to see a picture or some shread of something, over 100 i'd bet. I'd like some proof that this car runs at all, then i'll care if it hicups.

have you tried running some race gas in it to see if it will go away? that may lead you to the problem.

also plugs could do it? boosted motors definately dont like irridiums or planiums for sure... coppers seem to do the best from my experience.

got enough fuel? i hope the stock fuel system still isnt in place.... atleast a 1:1 fpr and fuel pump id say is needed

just a few thoughts
