Any tune files for a stock 13 Sho floating around with a bump in boost? Been playing with HP tuners for several hours now and having a hard time getting it right. Would like to find a good tune to start with and see where I am missing the curve at. Can't get it to accept anything without resulting in -29% STFT, resulting in horrible misfires and fuel knock.

Thanks

Have you tried hptuners website? They have files you can download. Also the forums have some as well. The only tune files I ever made for my sho were e30 and e40. I may share them but I wouldn't advise using them unless you know what you are doing. They aren't extreme because I had difficulty with the SHO tuning overall.

You don't want to just up boost. Your stock MAP sensor is going to go crazy and your car will run like shit, which it sounds like you have figured out.

Exactly. Once you go past the stock 2bar limit (you MIGHT be able to get a pound or 2 increase, but any more than that and you've reached the limit of the MAP sensor) the PCM won't know what to do. Get a 3bar and you may be able to dial it in a bit better.

It's really just a matter of raising some limits out of the way and then increasing your driver demand tables. IIRC I only saw 8-10 psi boost when stock. So even with the factory 2 bar MAP sensor there's plenty of room for gains, especially if you get the VCT right. PM me, if you email me your stock tune I'll modify it to get you started. But of course like *** said, it's "for informational purposes only" and I'm not responsible for anything that happens to your vehicle!

So. After hours and hours of my favorite game of flash drive flash, I finally managed build a suitable tune on 93 octane and just now got back to this post. Timing was the biggest pain in the ass out of everything but finally got rid of all knock retard and honestly I am amazed how it turned out. On occasion the BOVs open prematurely during accel under heavy throttle, which I am going to play with tonight. Goal was to raise from stock boost (was actually making 10.1 on stock sune suprisingly) and pull 14. After ironing out timing 14 seemed a little weak, and it felt like my lady Dahlia wanted more, so we tried to get another pound... I dont want to ***** my engine, trans, or ptu all over the road so I am trying to be conservative, but she still feels like she has a lot of room to grow. I'm going to hold off on any more tuning till I get the Mishimoto J line and EPP hot pipe kit because she was heat soaked as **** and intake air temp was over 130 and I want to get that lower before I just say "hey i want more boost".

I was hoping for 410 to 420 lb ft at 14-15 psi, and I far exceded my own expectations. The most recent data showed 15.4 psi with 464 lb ft but I didnt take a screenshot.

Below is what I saw after about 2 flashes before I called it good last night...

Yeah 8 is about wastegate pressure. Stock is targeted between 10-11, but at 2 bar, you're not getting past roughly 14.5 (plus or minus a few tenths depending on what atmospheric pressure is in your area...so maybe 3 psi-ish is all you can reliably add....but then you're at the upper limit of the sensor and not giving it some "buffer". Towards the extremes of the sensor readings, you can sometimes get irratic behavior.

...get the 3bar map sensor...

Glad you're getting it sorted out. Keep in mind that if you've altered the Torque Calculation tables or the MBT tables (which you shouldn't, but a lot of people do for some reason) that the torque value the ECU spits out will be inaccurate.

Oh I agree, absolutely get a 3 bar if he hasn't already. But all I'm saying is while the 2 bar leaves a lot of low-mid torque on the table, it doesn't make much difference in terms of peak horsepower on a stock vehicle and there's plenty that can be done without upgrading. ****, I bet I can make more power with some ethanol and a 2 bar than with 93 octane and a 3 bar.
