Those that are running a tune from Torrie (or other) with the tranny adjustment / shift firmness changes:

I just loaded a +30whp+shift (on my 2010 Flex Ecoboost) and all seemed good, except the transmission stutters when it shifts up a gear when under full throttle, you feel it and hear it. I opened the window to listen if maybe that was the tires breaking traction, but I didn't hear any chirping during the shifting. This was in auto, I did not try it in manual with the paddle shifters. Any thoughts on that? Is that the firmer shifting? It honestly does not sound good for the tranny. I will be trying the 60whp+shift in the next hour or so.

Holy $&!#, +60whp this is one quick car now! Boy are the turbos noticeable with that little extra boost now too.

You may want to get a wideband to watch that bud. That's a critical gauge when you mod a forced induced vehicle.

Who's tune are you running?? You should be able to make that type of power keeping the factory 10-10.5 afr

Does the SCT come with a wideband O2 sensor? Just curious as to the limits of the stock stuff with a tune and a safe a:f

IIRC, you can monitor the a/f on the hand held along with other selected info, but of course a gauge would be much more accessible.

I have been running Torrie's Boosted Tune in my Brick for the last 7K... Just arrived in Naples. 1,700 mi trip with over 50 mi of stop and go... and we recorded a 20.7 mpg. Last 1,400 mi we averaged 72.7 mph. Think the Brick is this economical because of H & R Springs and the 2" shorter tires. VERRRY HAPPY!

Sorry, but back to the stuttering when shifitng. Anybody else have this issue? I don't have any engine mods (yet) and I have had a stutter or two, usually in the 4th to 5th rangeshift, I think. It sure doess't feel good.

I was hoping the tune would make it shift better but from this post, I am not so sure.

Thanks,

Frex

The power is restricted from the factory to save the tranny. If I had a tune I'd want it pulling the power back to stock levels for the shift.
