I'll give it another try later, before calling anyone, but I will probably do that...even had Showgun on the phone helping talk me through it, with no luck...I gave up because it had my Irish temper up. So will try again in a few days, thanks for all the input.

Lol Mark, yeah thanks but that was like 'the blind leading the blind' ---

I was there more for moral support than any tech advice I could offer --- fact is I've been lucky to get thru the few times I've succeeded with tunes -- of course with a little help from our friends at Livernois.

RedCandySHO has it right on: Livernois's tech line is awesome: they can advise and guide or even take control of your 'puter and do it for you.

I'm sure today will be a better day Mark.
I'm actually impressed that you didn't pack it all up and chuck it in the Susquehanna ...:)

Your Irish temper is rather controlled compared to mine sometimes. KUdos for holding back.

Will chat soon and I'm sure things will be right back on track.

Cheers, and don't forget we've all had issues like that;)

Your northern buddy,
C.

Kinda hi-jacked this thread so this is my last post on my problem...thanks, Bob, but I have no idea what you are talking about with LiveLink and I am totally fed up with this whole thing at the moment so I am abandoning even trying to get it straightened out, this is the stuff that makes me wonder if all this computer based stuff is worth the trouble when something doesn't work after less the 6 months...

Mark,
I "attempt" to log my runs using the LiveLink logging software. That data is used by my tuner Torrie to tweak my tunes for better performance. It can also be used if you are experiencing issues with your Livernois tunes. The data sent to Rick & Dan will tell them what or if something isn't working correctly.

Why I suggested you update your software & firmware, is that things can glitch when you are loading a tune. This winter at the strip, I was switching Livernois tunes in Flex, when I accidentally opened the door. The voltage draw change due to interior lights caused my load to fail, and I had to go back to stock before proceeding. You can imagine how many things may cause a power change that you might not even see, so thats why things can glitch or get corrupted. "THIS IS THE BLACK HOLE OF COMPUTER TECH"! When all else fails, first turn computer off and on. If that doesn't help, update! But sometimes you be SOL...

Bob, since it has stopped raining and I have semi-detailed the SHO I am much calmer, so I will attempt to see if I can get the tuner working in a day or two, since I will be busy for the next few days. Now that I am calm (read: see straight lol), I think I can maybe...MAYBE figure it out. Thanks for all your help, will keep you updated. On the bright side, I did figure out how to get the Updater icon on my desktop (thanks to my son) and I see there are places to update firmware and software updates, so I will try that once I get the time. Thanks again. You guys rock!

To put a period on the end of this, I have to post that Red Candy SHO was as good (better) then his word. He arranged to have SCT Tech call me. Finally got together on Friday morning and spent about 2 hours on the phone with James J. He displayed an amazing amount of patience with me and we got my tuner updated the Stage 4+ tune loaded into the tuner and into the car. Thanks a heap for all the help and hand holding to get everything corrected. Tim and James deserve a lot of credit, so another company gets 2 thumbs up from me...also would recommend SCT to everyone! Thanks again guys.:thankyou:

So...to those of you that have had this TSB applied, 11-5-6 and updated 11-8-21, how's it going? Just checking in to see if I should have this done too.
After having the transmission range sensor, 10-21-2, replaced back in the spring, I've not had the entire slip/fail/thunk/rear camera issue happen.

I've had a thunk or bump, which feels like the transmission hesitates then slams into gear. It happened once back in the early summer. In the last two weeks, it has happened three times. My guess it is this valve body issue and PCM update. I just hit 13k miles.

Thanks!

Getting the TSB 11-5-6 done tomorrow. Went in for an oil change today and they didn't have time so they gave me a loaner. Fricken Ford Fiesta, and ugly green to boot.

Man this car sucks! I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in a relatively new car. I can't wait to get my SHO back.

I had the TSB done about 2 months ago. Very happy with the result. My transmission was dropping out of gear at low speed and sometimes at a stop, then it would drop into gear harshly after stepping on the gas. This has completely stopped since the TSB, and the car shifts much more smoothly now than before. I believe the transmission is now operating as designed and I love it.
By the way, I got no pushback from my dealer when I requested they perform the TSB. I told them the symptoms and gave them a printout of the TSB and they said thanks for finding that so they didn't need to search.

I never had a problem with slamming into gear before, but after having the TSB 11-5-6 done on my 2010 SHO with 22,000 miles, to address a problem with lagging acceleration. My car has slammed in gear three times today usually when coasting and making a turn. The first time it happen I thought I was rear-ended. Well back to the Dealer on Monday, I knew this was going to happen:frown:

ChuckC - After I had the TSB's performed listed above, I've not had any issues. Just make sure the dealer takes care of these TSB's for you and you should be OK.
If there are any doubts, just read these TSB's and if they apply to you, tell the dealer the matching symptoms and they will perform them upon request. (If you have a good dealer....)

Of course the dealer can't get the clunk replicated so I'm taking TSB 11-5-6 (update to TSB 11-12-10) to them this morning. Guys, this is not what I expected. Do I eat the cost of a TSB?

The TSB will tell you under what terms you have warranty coverage. Generally it's new car warranty only except for things like the APIM, or if there are recalls like for fuel tanks. If the component affects emissions, then you can get emissions coverage which is either 7/7o or 8/80 (not sure which) in federalspeak.
