lol zach.........zlyricist here ;)

i dont really mind ditching the ps cause it wont be a daily. did you just cap off the lines to the rack?

my biggest dilemma is that ill still need a way to tension that belt for the water pump....or get the water pump running in sync with the alternator. i havent had time to check out the atx water pump and its compatibility. full time work and full time school is kickin my ass!

If you are willing to ditch the PS and AC all together, then you can run the ATX setup Phoenix shows above - just delete the PS and rear idler pulley and buy a shorter belt.

Do you mean on a stock 3.2L engine? If so, you've just solved a problem that didn't need solving.

As far as I know, he currently has a stock 3.0L, so he'd need a bunch of parts (ATX water pump body & pulley, ATX alternator pulley, ATX crank pulley, ATX acc. belt tensioner, probably ATX timing belt tensioner & covers, etc.).

If he gets/has gotten a 3.2L to replace his current engine, then I would hope he has already deduced that it just needs a shorter belt, considering that that would be the primary reason why he got the 3.2L in the first place.

Not trying to be a dick, I just want to make sure I'm not missing something here.

So with the 3.2 ATX Setup, it would be crank/tensioner/alternator?

That creates a bunch of room in the engine bay.

Z, yes I cut the lines on the P/S hose side and left both fittings intact, if I ever wanted P/S back I would've needed custom lines with the stock fittings.

So, fa SHO, I see you've got this car up for sale on CL. Getting out of the game, huh?

You say "its all bolted up and ready to drop in"... Does that mean you've got the engine/trans assembled but outside of the car? And no engine/trans in the car? If so, that might be pretty tricky to sell, I think. Good luck with the sale!
