I'm trying to put a pass-through from the trunk into the rear seat compartment so I'll be able to carry my skis and snowboard up to the mountain this winter as I don't want an unsightly roof rack on the car.

Has anyone adapted something similar or have any sources for something similar?

I did on my 1st SHO, an 89.
I used wing nuts and studs so I could tool-less-ly remove the rear seat back and the insulation pad behind it.

Removing the rear seat isn't complicated at all.. push in and up on each side of the seat-bottom, then there are two nuts on each side holding the bottom of the seat-back while the top of it is hooked in. I just keep those nuts finger tight.

or you could get some gen3/4 fold down seats..

Hopefully I'd like to be able to keep the rear seat as intact as possible. I was curious if I would be able to create a pass-through within the centre arm rest area?

I created a passthough with the armrest, unfortunately I doubt the hole would be big enough to put 1 set of skis through, let alone a snow board.

I just cut out the leather behind the arm rest, and it would great for what I wanted at the time. For your needs you may need to figure out how to just remove the armrest completely when you want to use the pass through.

You other option is removing the seat back or doing the gen 3 fold down seat. The gen 3 seat is not a simple bolt in though. It would require the actual gen 3 seat along with custom made brackets. This mod has only been successfully done once or twice that I know of.

Anyone have knowledge of how to perform this mod?

Any ideas as to what other vehicles offer this option? I'm specifically thinking of something with a pass-through concealed within the rear arm-rest. I know I've seen one somewhere before but I can't recall on what.

Thanks
