I like it ALOT better this way! I just wish I could learn how to take photos! every pic has a dam reflection and messes it up.

On to the door trim before christmas.

It amazing wat simple little changes can make to a car! Like it alot. I to think black would have been just as good. Maybe not so much on a red car though.

They are the NON-SHO lights, just did a swap with a SLO.

I thought about black as a possibility, but for me, it would have to match the other black. I wasnt sure how a Matte Black would look that high on the car. Also for the lights, when you paint the chrome section you have to scuff it up real good for the paint to stick, and then you would have a paint line.

This was alot simpler to do than the front of the car, but the ford logo is double sided mainly to the bar, the Logo itself is not flat like the old logos, it has plastic standoffs that sticks to the tape in a lot of small pionts. So when you pull the logo off the bar all the tape sticks to the bar and took about two hrs to remove all the tape and glue. then you have to retape it, I taped the back of the logo and used the razor at a angle to cut back the tape, and this was a pita too as the tape is super sticky and even a new razor dont slice it nicely.

Much better. That is, indeed, how Ford should have built it.

Newbie here, but I just have to say I love the mod. I have thought, from the moment I saw one, that a monochrome theme would have worked really well on the 2010.

I removed the trim and shrink wrapped it.
As you can see I also used the SHO letters from the Ecoboost badge by splitting it.
Dont look too close. The bottom edge of letters are unfinished plastic.

I'm guessing you used a heat gun to help the carbon fiber tape/material to adhere better without any runs or creases? I'm really tempted to remove all my rear decals and just put T A U R U S on the lid, and perhaps SHO above the emblem. Yours turned out really nice though.
