Trunk Lid

My SHO’s current trunk lid is starting to rust and I plan on getting a new one after the winter. Two questions regarding the trunk lid on the 4th gen sho (or I guess just any Taurus from 2010-2019 in general)

1) what is the removal process like? I can’t find any info regarding removing the actual trunk lid online

2), is it possible to remove my trunk lid’s spoiler and transfer it to one that doesn’t have the spoiler? Because if that’s the case I can easily just get a trunk lid off a junkyard Taurus of the same color and just move the spoiler over

Pretty sure the 10 through 12 and 13 through 19 are different, don’t have my 2012 show anymore so can’t be sure. If you template your old trunk lid, you could definitely drill the holes in a stock trunk lid at least on the 13 and up, I just looked at mine.

Good chance The junkyard one will have the same problem. My wife’s LTD is rusting already. My SHO is ok still but it’s out of the weather.

The '10-'12 model years (GEN4) are different than the '13-'19 model years (GEN5) SHO's.

Mainly being the tail lamps (inner assemblies in trunk lid itself).

The chrome spear is different. As is the mounting location of the rear view camera.

Trying to recall if the spoiler is different as well. I believe it is, but memory fades over time.

Not sure about any step by step "how-to" tutorial exists on its it removal/replacement.

I've had the spoiler off on my 2010 MY, and it's a fairly simple process as far as where the holes are and how it bolts to the trunk lid. Never took pics when I did that. Hindsight's 20/20.
