The title pretty much says it all. I got some of what I believe to be tree sap on my car, and I cant get it off! I tried Turtle Wax's Bug and Tar Remover, which has been really good to me and it isnt helping much. Any tips or anything? I'm really hoping it'll come off. I was planning on getting the car detailed, do you think they'll be able to get it off?

Thanks.

If WD-40 can't do it, go for a clay bar. I think the brand name is Clay Magic. You can get it at AutoZone of O'Reiley

I had sap that sat for over a month and I got it off with bug/tar remover. I had to scrub the **** out of it with a cloth (ending up killing my finger). Eventually I got it all off, not easy at all. I tried clay bar before that, but I had too much sap for it to any good.

Ok, thanks. It's good to know it'll hopefully come off. The bug and tar remover worked a little but not as good as I hoped. I will try WD-40 and my clay bar.

BTW: Im not sure if it's sap. It's not sticky just these small brown dots all ove the hood, roof and trunk.

Thanks again.

I cant find my clay bar, I think my brother has it, so I couldnt get that crap off. I went to go get an estimate on it from the detailer by my house, he said $160, inside and out. I went for it, so I'm getting it deatiled tomorrow. I'm actually pretty excited.

Just got the car back from the Detailers, it came out great. They got all that sap crap off and man my SHO has never looked this good. I think it was def. worth $160.

Marc sounds great! Where did you take it? My car has weird "stuff" all over the paint that I haven't been able to get out. I've been considering having it detailed to see if they can get it out.

Bill, the place right by the Hillsborough Cinema's; Bling Bling the Detail King. If you need any info PM me, it's about 4 minutes away from my house, so it's pretty close to you too. They're really nice guys. I cant over how nice it looks. My paint was dull looking and they shined it up so nice. My friends uncle took his M3 to get detailed at another place for $300!! I think $160 is steal, it came out just as good and it's a bigger car. If you're curious as to how it turned out, you're more than welcome to stop by and see how it looks.
