I’m swapping a trans from a 96 into a 98 car motor is almost hitting the passenger side frame rails it’s way too close is there a difference between. The brackets from 96-97 and 98-99

Could the rear mount cause this ?

Be sure you have the trans mounted up against the engine. I recall on my 3.0L once not having it all the way mounted due to the TC and flex plate not being lined up properly. Of course the 3.0L you could swap the tranny out without dropping the engine.

It’s pull the trans mount so I think it’s the way it’s sitting
