is there any possible way of utilizing a gen 1 or 2 mtx on a gen 3??? if not what about a contour manual transaxle??? i heard somewhere that the gen 3's motor was based off the duratec... just a rumor... i'm lookin to get a gen 3 when my lil sis takes over the 94....

It canbe done, the Gen i/ii trans I believe will bolt up, but the subframe would need some tweaking, as well as the computer, you would have to try to fit the shifter in and a clutch. It i spossible, but lengthy and costly to do.

The SHO 3.4L V8 is based on the 2.5L Contour V6 block.
With enough time and money, anything can be done.
