Well, there seems to be a almost clunking sound coming from the front end. I dont think its a CV cause it doesnt make any noise when you turn either way, and it seems to be coming from the middle of the car, not the sides. But the weird thing is, it only makes it when its cold. Fire it up and drive for about a mile, and it goes away. But it seems like the colder it is outside the louder it is. But even after I've been driving for a while, if i stop somewhere for a couple minutes, it'll do it again for a minute or so. But yet if its warm outside, and the ground is warm, it usually wont do it. The weirdest thing of all, it didnt start doing it till i left the muffler shop one day after getting some cats put on. Unless i just didnt hear it before, the old cats were hollowed, and the car was a lil louder. So I decided to change the tranny fluid. Pulled the plug....nothing comes out. So I filled it up. So I'm really not sure of whats causing this. Though it will be getting a clutch within the next 500-1000 miles. Im thinking about having the shop open the tranny just to see if everything is ok. Any input would be greatly appreciated. :thumb:

Maybe you have a bad bearing(s) in the tranny if you drove around with out fluid in there for very long.

When exactly does the noise happen?? Like you said when it's cold, but does it happen while driving? Coming to a stop? Accelerating? All of the above?
Is it a constant clunk? Does it have a pattern to it, like maybe RPM dependent?

What he said. Also, in regards to when it happens, does it make this sound when you change gears? If so, does it make this sound when the car is not on?

Maybe have a friend help you listen to narrow down exactly when and where the noise is coming from. That would help a lot.

It goes with the speed of the wheels. The faster you go, the quicker it goes. Kinda like when you get a rock or a nail in your tire. It doesnt make any noise while sitting still, only while moving, but not for very long.
