Sound started this morning, grinding but not metal on metal, worsens when steering wheel is turned to the right. Sound goes away when I apply the brakes medium- hard, but not lightly. Last weekend I installed hub centric wheel spacers as well as rotors and pads. I had to drill out my rotor screw, so there is not one on that front left corner. Nothing looks wrong visually, pads are wearing evenly and nothing is touching the rotor. Everything seems to be greased enough, and there is 0 play on the hub. Any ideas what it could be?

I'm thinking maybe wheel bearing, doesnt have to be play for there to be noise.

solved it, the spacer wasnt fully flush to the rotor when we installed it, so it had slowly wiggled a few mm away, and it was wobbling. just had to re-torque those nuts and it was gone.

Glad you got it figured out, a bit surprised there was not a wicked wobble/vibration associated with that.
