Tranny problems!

When I shift into 3rd my tranny grinds

. If I ever so gently apply pressure going into third sometimes it doesn't. Time for a new tranny? What do u guys think?

first of all check the fluid it may be low...that sometimes will make that happen

Definitely check the fluid level. Worse-case would probably be needing a refresh including new blocking rings, and possibly a new 3/4 synchro.

My guess third gear blocking ring.
