TPS Issue?

I just replaced the TPS on my 91 MTX, its been running pretty rough, and Im starting with replacing that, I already did plugs,wires,fuel filter,air filter,oil change etc. My ? is I replaced it with one from RCM, And I started the car and now the CE light is on, Is that Normal? I didnt pull any codes, it wasnt on before. Any help would be appreciated!!
