Sorta cares
Agreed. So far, Torrie is better advertising for Ford than Ford is.

Wowsa, if that is running stock boost and just with a tune, that is killer.
I looked up road test summary results, and there are no V6's at any price tested by R & T that beat this time in the 1/4.

The only faster 6 banger is the 911 flat 6, at close to $100k.
The tuned SHO is already faster than all those other 6's you mentioned, and this is his first tune and first time to the track. THe SHO is a much larger and heavier car and he didn't push it yet, like they do in the road tests; he'll easily be in the 12's with a better launch. That ET also beats the $100,000 ttV8 Bimmer int the 1/4
I see 12's right around the corner. All this with just a tune??? I think some of the non believers will looking for the band wagon.....
I'll be on the bandwagon when I see 12's consistently w/o shit breaking left and right
I think that'd be pretty cool to take a second off with a tune and still have a reliable car to beat the snot out of...
You obviously didn't read my post. I already said the ET was faster, but not the trap speed. Look at the trap speeds. And while the SHO is certainly larger on the outside, the interior space isn't much larger than the new A4 except maybe rear seat legroom. I couldn't even fit comfortably in the SHO, and can in the A4. Oh and the S4 is 4000lbs.
The SHO will easily be in the 12's with downpipes and exhaust and a retune.
well the 370z is also in a whole other class than the SHO. the Z is a 2 seater sports car while the SHO is a 4 door 5 seater family car. Not really right to compare the 2

obviously the Nismo would probably run rings around the SHO on a track, but the SHO is the same price and will keep up in a straight line. not bad! Kind of impressive that Nissan squeezed almost as much power out of a 3.7 as the ecoboost has, but to be honest I'd rather have the Ecoboost. Gobs more useable torque, and I'll bet the Ecoboost hits 400hp way cheaper/more easily than the VQ does.
