Today going to work I decided to ran my SHO and see what RPMS it would ran at higher speeds.I have a 2 mile bridge that is wide and smooth on the way to work.
I merged on the bridge at around 40 mph with overdrive off.
70..80..90..110.. 115 then 120mph!!
My rpms were at 6400 in 3rd gear.
I think if I would had kept my foot in it it would had made 125 or so in 3rd. Not sure how far it took to get there but it was not at all that long to 120 for a 140k 6 banger.
I know some cars ran better in 3rd gear. I have not ran the car in high gear yet.Still trying to get the feel of this car.Not sure how many RPMs the yamaha will pull in high gear. Maybe some of you guys can tell me how many rpms you have pulled in high gear in your ATX.

"Do you think in a mile starting from 25 you could hit 120 in a MTX?"

If I remember right, from goofing around, I think you can hit about 125 from a standing start in the flying mile, in a stock MTX.

Things get slow once in 4rd gear, in the first 1/4 mile you can hit close to 100. After that it's a slow pull.
