According to automobile-catalog.com, they estimate our CD at 0.3. They also estimate top speed without governor (no other mods, 200lb driver) at 167mph and a 252 mph top speed based on gearing/redline alone.
That website has a ton of information. That said, I think a CD of 0.3 is a little generous. The current Charger SRT has a CD of 0.335, 2015 BMW M5 is 0.33 and that website shows the Ford Fusion Energi and Ford CMax Energi as an estimate of 0.3. The 2013+ Standard Fusion is known to have been tested around a 0.28 CD and with both of those being eco focused cars, I doubt they aren't more aerodynamic than the EB SHO. My guess is 0.3 CD is that websites default if they don't know for certain car types.

I am also not sure about the rest of you but I very much doubt that a stock SHO could crack 165 MPH given an infinite, flat and straight road. Mine stock wasn't exactly pulling hard past triple digits and the speedo was creeping after 130. I would think a stock non PP SHO would struggle to reach 150 MPH let alone 167 MPH.

When I take my car for a cruise, she pulls hard up until I hit the limiter. It feels like I push the brakes. I need to get my car tuned so I can remove that limiter.

The 1992-1995 shows 0.32, the 1996-1999 0.30, the 86 Mercury was 0.29. I have seen other sites claiming 0.33 for the Taurus and 0.32 for the SHO.

FAIR WARNING!!! I am not responsible for any number of lost hours you may accumulate by clicking either of the following links and the rabbit hole they lead down.

http://www.wallaceracing.com/drag-sim.htm I used this and as much data as I could find. It came out to 170 mph on a stock setup. If nothing else, it is fun to play with and see what changes will do to your times.

I just want to see it hit 200mph but there is alot of drag to overcome
Just messing around with the above calculators, I used the Dyno graphs in @DadMobile last video and I saw where he said he was down to 4040 lbs. Using some generics I found online for things like rolling/static friction, wheel/engine inertia, CG height, clutch slip, drivetrain loss, etc. I was able to calculate him at 195.94mph @ 94.59s over a distance of 23,369ft (almost 4.5 miles!).

I've been to 170's in the worlds heaviest SHO, LOL...

I'm tapping out on making the SHO any faster, high 11's and does what i ask it to do.

I have 2021 GT500 now that is a bit faster than my SHO and truck out of the factory so I will be adding 400 whp to it.

I have the DW Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires with a Y speed rating. So I should be good up to 186 MPH! HA!

I was not on the well kept speed course. I didnt need a license. You show up and can drive anywhere. Plenty of videos of people testing their hellcats there. I want to go back this year but the salt condition might not be best.

Doing new turbos because i need to, our hp cant overcome the drag and force at those speeds. Its mostly aero. Hp helps get to 150 but past that its weight and earth forces. Would need alot of hp to overcome the drag and being awd dont help.
Im sure someone will beat me to 200mph but its a lifegoal of mine to make a car that cant, can
So this wasn’t a sanctioned event? GPS verified speed? That’s cooking on salt for sure!

I know the feeling, I was at 137 as I went under a bridge overpass and had the thought of blowing a tire and mutilating as hitting the concrete pillars of the overpass gave me the same reaction of this is stupid and I let off.

There used to be a guy out here who lived in Germany, he started one of the drive shaft threads. Anyway he claimed he would regularly run his car up to 170, in fact that's when he blew out his drive shaft. He though in theory 200 was possible but was not sure the car would hold together. He has not been around in four years so maybe he found the limit and didn't like it.

Ran it to 140 the other day and it actually felt pretty stable. Fastest was in my ProCharged coyote, shut it down at 155 testing out the newly installed aluminum one piece driveshaft.
