Yes yes, I know it is electronically limited to 133 or some low number, but did anyone notice how slow the engine is turning in 5th gear @ 133? Only 5100 rpm. The car has enough legs (and HP I feel) to reach a top speed of 161 mph in 5th gear if allowed to run to redline. Given enough juice to top out 6th gear and it has enough gear to run 217mph!! If someone figures out how to bypass the limiter, and also to bump up the output to 450hp or thereabouts, I see some of the these cars hitting 175+. Cool stuff.

It won't be long before someone offers to reprogram the computer and we will see some big changes in results, but it comes with a price. Most dealers have tech reps that can plug in a pretty sophisticated diagnostic tool which can see if the factory settings have been altered, thereby voiding the warranty. When I worked on Chrysler's lemon law claims, I saw them void the warranty on several vehicles with modified computers. But I bet someone does it soon, and breaks 160...

dont be ridiculous, those two turbochargers are clearly installed so that the car can go back in time. what other purpose could they possibly serve?

You guys have to factor in wind resistance. Just because it may be geared and have the power to do 175 or so does not mean that It will. The drag on the car at those speeds is pretty excessive. It takes alot of horsepower and good aero to go that fast.

Has annyone figured out the CD on the 2010?

Also what are the trans and rear end gear ratios and tire diametare (spelling?

It wouldn't take anywhere near 450 hp to put the car to 175 mph.

True. I doubt that the new SHO has either the frontal area or drag coefficient characteristics that the gen 2 had. IIRC, the G2 had a DC of either .29 or .31, both of which are very, very low, and I don't know what the frontal area was, but the new SHO has the frontal area of an aircraft carrier so the G2's has to be smaller...

You would be surprised at what it takes to go 175+. The new SHO is a Big heavy car. Which on top end the weight can be an advantage. But the car does not look to be very aerodynamic.

To go forward in time...duh! :woo-hoo:

Actually, just to make time appear to go slower from the standpoint of an outside observer. Albert strikes! ;)

There was a young lady named Bright
Who traveled much faster than light.
She went off one day, in a relative way
and returned on the previous night.
