Last few days I have been having problems shifting my SHO. I know first and reverse grind are common. But when going back into first. If I am rolling at all, I feel the gear collide. I wouldnt really think this is unusal but it just started doing this about 3 days ago.

Then Starting this morning about 2 times so far. I have had the same issue going down to second when coming to a stop. If I am moving above about 15 or so, I cannot go back down to 2nd. WTF Never did any of this when I bought it cuz I checked.

I have pulled on the clutch to adjust it but thats not the problem. It doesnt have any slop at all. I double checked and made sure the pedal is on the floor tightly when I shift and that dont help.

Im gonna check my tranny fluid tommorow and see if its the problem but I am not sure.

The previous owner tells me its had a new clutch and TOB 12,000 miles ago at performance plus. The clutch is a new stock replacement but the TOB is and upgraded unit.

Anyone have any Ideas besides it being a TOB problem??

You should get over 12,000 miles on a stock TOB. If your fluid is full double check that nothing has gotten worked into the area of your shifter that might cause binding. If everything appears to be ok there then it might be time to pull the tranny and check the clutch and transmission. Just as a side thought, how old is the fluid in there? You might want to drain it out and refill it with fresh just to see if that makes any difference at all before the tranny is pulled.

Also, while 12,000 miles is pretty fresh for a clutch, they have been known to fail before then. The pressure plate in particular if you or the PO has ever missed a gear and downshifted instead of going to the next gear up. I had troubles getting my car into reverse, then troubles with first when my pressure plate started to go.

Fluid doesnt look to fresh, I would assume tha it was changed when the clutch was put in. One thing i have noticed is latly the clutch pedal feels a little wierd. I felt like the clutch pedel spring was rubbing so when you push it down you feel every spring loop slide against something. I though i could hear it to. This isnt by chance a spring on my pressure plate is it, When i can hear it?
