What is the procedure for removing the old TOB sleeve considering that it is a tight fit and requires Loctite high temp. sleeve retainer?

If you cannot get the old sleve off, cleaning it and making sure it is in good condition is sufficient. Rather than damage the bellhousing and need to replace the entire housing, this is the safest bet if it will not come off.

my sleeve came off fairly easy, using the rotate and pull method, like youre unscrewing a bolt. with the scratches i left in the aluminum, i used a scotch brite pad (fine grade) and cleaned it up.

i used my hand. to reduce the scratching, you could use a pair of needlenose pliers and slightly pull back on the tabs, just enough to clear it from making contact with the quill.

Thanks. I take it the Loctite high temp sleave retainer doesn't hold it too tightly.

I suspect the AAMCO(sp?) people didn't use it anyway. After reading Scott's ordeal with over-torqued bolts, I wonder what those clowns did to my car.
