Its time to dew work. Next friday. Going down to Silver Dollar Raceway in the blue car in hopes of breaking not only into the 13's but breaking the all motor record. Its been a **** of a build/journey over the winter to get the car together and now its time to find out of all the work was worth it.

A little bit of info on the car and previous runs:

1995 MTX
Weight: 2780#

Motor: 3.2 swap, BBB, Pnp runners, gasket matched, Underdrive pullies, SHOshop stage 2 cams, stock heads, Fenderwell intake, SHOsource catless y pipe.....dumped.

The cars current best was 14.2@100mph. That was with stock cams and 200 pounds heavier with a gen 2 subframe. The car now has a gen3 subframe.
The car is getting trailered 2 hours away to Silver Dollar because of the 600 feet of elavation difference than Atlanta Dragway which is only a hour away.

Wat tires and wat clutch? Stiffen the rear up with some spring blocks. And the weather will either help you or fight you. Hopefully it will be nice when u go.

Here is the kicker doing it all on street tires. Bridgestone Potenza RE760's. These tires are great though! consistent 2.2 60ft's with them previously. I have a Southbend Stage II clutch with A LOT of passes on it. The great thing about Silver Dollar is they do night races. Temps should be around 70 with 60-70% humidity. IIRC Silver Dollar is 300 ft ABS

I have the ultimate wheel/tire setup to bad ur so far away. I wanna see someone break this record like I wanted too. then I got hp greedy with boost. that and my clutch hated the QTP's

Its all in the launch, ull need a perfect run to make it happen. Ill be looking forwards to seeing the results!

I have a feeling that dumped exhaust might hurt more than gain.
Did you ever cable mod?

Last time i dumped the exhaust i picked up 2mph in my trap speed as well as .2 off my E.T.

Cable mod and subframe will be the bigest help. Dont use spring blocks...Just do the cable mod.

Sometimes I wish I didn't let go of my ATX. Would have been in this record breaking talk...

my turbo ATX NEVER had wheel hop. I wrapped the steel cable around the engine mount so it would tension against that under power. It was a beast.

One day I will mod another ATX and run low 12's with a stock trans... Best of luck to you!!! That is a crazy light car you have there!
