So I have been thinking about putting NOS on my 94 SHO with 128K on it. I would be going with a wet setup just becasue I do not want to lean out my engine and blow the *****. So I have heard that the SHO handles NOS well I am wondering where I would tap my fuel supply to I am wondering if I can hook it up to the schrader valve on the fuel rail for the solenoid to get fuel. IS what I am hearing true about the SHOs handling the nitrous well I wouldnt be shooting very much just like a 25-35 shot and I would not use it in low gears and I would be using it pretty much right when the secondaries open. I would also have it hooked up to a switch on the pedal. I only want it for that extra boost I do drive my car and I do street race the car so I do drive well over any speed limit. you all know that the SHO gets slow around 120-140 and thats pretty much when I would be using. I know it sounds bad but I have only gone 130MPH before running out of road I am someone who is a good driver and I do not push mine or the cars limits If I do not feel safe I will not do it.

wet kits will puddle in the intake manifold causing a backfire that could blow your intake appart.SHOs work best on dry kits with a 50-75 shot.
for safety most people upgrade to a larger Walbro 155 fuel pump,fresh fuel filter and go with copper Autolite 3923 plugs.
this is all basic information,you should do more research before you start spraying.

for the love of all things good and holy, NOS is a brand name. call it N2O, call it nitrous, call it giggle gas, call it spray...but stop calling it what the retards on The Fast And The Futile call it. oh yeah, and what he said...run a dry shot or run direct port...a wet shot will ruin your afternoon with a quickness.
There is no need for a wet kit at the power level you are trying to achieve.
Run a dry kit and jet it for a 55 shot.

My Full bolt on 3.0 with Cams and 200,000+ Miles runs on a 75 dry shot. Brian runs plenty of Nitrous as well. Infact, I'd say that 98% of all Nitrous users on this Forum run a Dry shot. No one has blown their motor (Unless they did something stupid) running a Zex Dry Kit.
However, If you think that a Dry kit will blow up your motor, But spraying at speeds near 140 won't....Well then good luck to you.

SHOs before HOs
Alot of people with SHOs tend to put the horse before the buggy, i did it myself at first. I'm not saying you are, im just making a point. Before you even think about nitrous, make sure you have done a full 60k service, your clutch has enough life to stand up to it, you've done rod bearings, your suspension is completely up to par (alot of people seem to neglect this point). Once you start spraying if these points havent been addressed your just gonna keep breaking things and get frustrated. Point in short, if your car hasnt been refreshed from the bottom up nitrous should be last on your list. A thank ya.

Certianly doable, A Dry shot would be great, install it as far away as possible to take advantage of the cooling air properties. Make sure the A/F is dead on. You will take risk of hurting the engine making high mph pulls if conditions are not perfect. One of the porblems with the Dry systems is that you never know is the NOS is distrubuted evenly among cylinder. Some cylinders might get more of the NOS than others. A Direct port system makes sure equal distrubtion is obtained, and if tuned correctly can make 15-20 sec pulls with breaks inbetween all day long. Dont keep the button down longer than 20 sec., you could hurt the motor btw...(Which would be insane anyway and really breaking the law!)

Nitrous is addictive, just like any power-adder. 25-30 shot.......you will not feel much. Go with a 50 or 75 shot. Get a 155lph fuel pump ( I used a 190 with no prob). Depending on how you use it, your transmission (atx) will not like it for long. Good luck.
iv seen SHO's with 200,000 miles run 50 shot and it holds up very well. the engine is bullit proof.. although id prefer a turbo set up because of the constant effects..... plus i like the sound of the blow off valve.

I've sprayed 150 wet, with no problems. But I am running a direct port system. Wet single nozzle systems could be bad. As said above, make sure maintenence is caught up first. Bad secondary ignition could cause unwanted misfires, and a neglecter fuel system can cause a lean condition.
