The Outlaw gets blown...

Well, some of you may know that when I started modifing my 95'MTX, the modifications were geared toward boosting it on a budget, one to see if I could do it for less that $3000 and two was to avoid racking up the credit cards. I'm close to the $3000 mark just on the parts to boost it, add all the other stuff I've done including repairing after I got it back from being stolen... well it's well beyond another $3000, but with no unpaid nasty credit card bills. It's has taken a few years to collect/purchase/fabricate parts to do this. The only custom made part I had no hand in making is blower intake tubing, it came off a S/C'd 93' that was dismantled several years ago.

Well, the project is well under way and close to completion. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Tight fit.

All that is left is installing the oil drain back line, belt and knock monitor... and of course tuning it, which will be done with my tweecer r/t and WBO2 sensor. Still need to put the bumper cover on too.

It is, since my setup is pull through, that is the MAF is pre-blower. I have to vent the charge air back into the intake tract before the blower and after the MAF. If I vent it to atmosphere, the MAF will register air flow and the EEC will add fuel because of it.

The bypass valve is on the underside of the piping.

Looks great Terry! I guess I have to get mine done too, huh? :)

Wow that looks AWESOME Terry! Good work, and I hope you get it working perfect.

Oh yeah... and BTW the K&N air filter works ALOT better without the bag on it.

That's not really a plain ol K&N is it? He needs to use an Air Raid with a foam pre-filter and baffle. I will never use K&N brand on anything again after the bad experiences I had on both of my buggies.

Hey Tom

Do you happen to have a link to Air Raid? Is it www.airaid.com?

The bypass valve dumps excessive boost back into the atmosphere side of the intake so it appears to be plumbed correctly.

Looking very good Terry... can't wait to see how that baby runs, especially it being a 3.2 to begin with! Congrats on all the great work on getting this to where it is.
