Well as an update, FEMA said that it will take up to 2 weeks for an adjuster to come out to "look" and the damages done. I already explained to them that everything had to be tossed so the renovations could begine in the complex. United Way is going to contact me back to file with them and I just heard that residents of Providence that have been effected might recieve a grant of $2000 to help people get back on thier feet. I have pictures and a few videos that I will post when I get my saved computer up and running. Been sleeping on a air matress and also doing alot of clothes and washing everything I own.

At least i'm back to work to get my mind off of things.

How everyone else doing?

Was just back in RI for Easter. My family lucked out. Brother got no flooding and parents got a bit in the basement. My father, being the forward thinker he is, finished his basement properly years ago. Tile throughout and sheetrock ending with space to save it in the event of water. everyone else on their block did carpet and sheetrock full down. They all lost it all.

Hope it all works out for you man

Thanks guys ..... me and the gf are doing ok and dealing with everything on a level that I thought we'd never be able to handle. 10 loads of clothes so far and in the middle of that, washing all the dishes. My computer will be up and running tonight when I get out of work and I will upload pictures.

Tomorrow my uncle is stopping by to hang the bathroom door, its just one of the few things that has to get done before we rent it out. I guess I’m lucky that no one is renting it out or God knows where I’d be sleeping.

Here is one video of the main entrance to my parking lot. My building is behind the big one that is in the video. There is supose to be a 3.5 foot drop where the river runs.

Here is a view from our porch. This was around 10 in the morning on Tuesday.

A fire truck making it throught the water where our only point of entry is on the property. This was nothing for it but it was atleast 2 feet deep.

And the fire truck leaving ..... Please don't mind my neighbor swearing. She dropped a few "f" bombs.

Wow man, that's harsh. I was lucky, the new house has an unfinished cellar, and had 3 pumps running to keep up with the water coming in. kept it at/below the 3" platform the new furnace & water heater sit on. Once the ground was saturated it just poured in...

Linda's basement flooded the day before I moved out (3/14) with the first storm, tossed some of the carpets, & has been drying out since. Good thing was, she listened to me & installed a sump pump so she was ok for the 2nd storm. My place got water from the day of the closing (3/15), so I had a couple of pumps & hoses for that, & was able to get a couple more before they sold out.

Hey! You're back from the abyss! Glad to hear you made it through the storms mostly unscathed. I feel for you guys down in RI. I'm lucky enough to live on a hill, so I haven't had to deal with water in the basement other than one damp spot where the foundation's cracked. The dirt driveway though... that's another story...

Fortunately i didnt get flooded in but my friends sister who lives on the pawtuxet river did. The water was a foot below there porch. Fortunately they blocked off the basement door so they only got a foot of water in. The warwick mall was pretty crazy. Heres a pic i took of an office building thats near New England Tech.
