Yeah, I wanted to line up with that porsche also, but couldn't make it happen. My best reaction time was a .303, best time was a 12.488 at 110.238mph. I found out later that the pressure in the nitrous tank was too low to actuate the solenoids so all my runs except for the last one were without the nitrous. I hooked up the bottle warmer for my last run of the night and what do I do? Wheelie! Great for the crowd but bad for my times. I have to back out of the throttle because I can't see through the floorboard. Still, I managed a 12.876 at 107.89 and grinning all the way down the track. I don't know how loud I was cause the sound can't get up to my ears until I get to the slow down area. :naughty:

Good times. :thumb:

yeah and i had front row sets for that wheelie being in the lain next to you. My best reaction time of the night was .032 and all icould muster out of my stock gen one was a 15.765 at 89. something mph but I did fli over to 345,000 miles somewhere on the track and the only htink i lost to was a white sho the other woman and a drag truck that ran a 12.99 against me. So I acomplished what I set out to do.

15.06 was my best run(15.3 was the worst while getting my a$s kicked by the bandit['72 Pontiac T/A 455])

Nick remember times don't matter. When the race of the Gen3's happened, which I think everyone would agree was THE highlight of the night, I WON!!!!

Though, I think it was more of the wheel spin taking the toll, rather than me winning.

Looking forward to the videos.

Rav, glad you were able to beat the time I set in your car, haha great job man. How many timeslips do you have now? You were going in one big circle the whole night, never stopping. Lunatic... ;)

I managed to get 13 runs in before Mike, waved me down and said that everyone had gone home. I was getting ready to run again!!

Is there a prize for getting the most runs in?

Really good fun, thanks for all the advice too.

Someone told me that I had only one wheel spinning...? That's weak.

I should have run again with you. Being the first time I raced that since I got it, I was just happy not to bust it. Unlike Rob who gets a car with 345k on it and proceeds to smoke (literally) alot of folks there. Next time.

V8, FWD, open diff, brilliant! I think I made so much smoke that after a bit, you couldn't really see either of my front wheels.

Wow, I think this is the most posts after a meet I've ever seen, it's clear everyone had a blast. Deffintly have to do this again. Hopefully I will have my SHO back in the shape it was a few weeks ago. Then we can settle this Mike. :thumb: For the record, I had about 1/8 to 1/4 tank of 91 with the spare removed, about the same temperature outside. The track did seem a little slow, maybe not as much VHT on the track as usual.

Rav, next time you should take out the spare, backseat, have 1/8 tank of 91 and ice your intake. Then actually cool down your car inbetween runs. You should be in the mid-low 15's!

Nick, don't worry you'll check my car out next time, no biggie. Already put on 1111 miles since I got it, jeez. Maybe next time you'll have a new set of rims and tires to get some traction! For 300 you can't go wrong, shoot maybe down the road when you get your snypers I'll take those off your hands for the same price, or even more haha, it'd still be a good deal.

Tom, your buggy sounded real good I thought, for a sho motor without cats or a resonator, very good. You should get a purge kit and thread the line through the chassis tubing and then drill and tap a hole for it somewhere in the middle, maybe shooting over the engine backwards or something. You can get a purge kit with a red led too that'll illuminate the purge red. That is just one of my many plans, haha.

Looking forward to those videos Mike, I know they take a while. Thanks for doing that . :corn:

I actually had a full tank of gas (filled up just before coming to the track), only had a quarter of a tank when I left Tom's and didn't know where the track was so didn't want to run out.

So I had a hot car, tank full of gas, two spare tires (one in the boot and one around my waist) but loads of fun.

Mike,

Did you happen to capture any of the Dyno runs at SVC? My digital camera wasn't set right and I got next to nothing.

Tom:

I have all your dino runs and the twin intercooled twin turbo'ed Cobra project on the tape. For the video CD I just sent you on monday (you should have it by now), just 1 dyno run was posted. I will make sure you get all your dyno's together if you want.
