After quite a few years of hosting successful half day meets, I'd like to invite everyone to a weekend meet. I think this would be a good event to supplement the SHO convention, Carlisle, etc. So, here are the details!

General wrenching is more then fine! If someone wants to even perform a top 60k at my house they are more then welcome to! (Sans a valve lash!). I also encourage anyone to bring parts they may want to sell or trade. Sorry, we won't be doing clutch changes or major suspension work here!

My ground rules are simple: No drinking if you are under 21 , No vehicular Asshatery. Nothing but a good and relaxed time.

Friday - If folks are coming from out of town and want to come by and go grab some food on Friday night, then by all means! As the date gets closer and I have some confirmed people showing up, we can figure that out.

Saturday - Saturday will be the main meet date. Arrive on saturday morningish and hang out for a bit. Depending on the general consensus we can head out as a group to do an activity (Brewery Tour? Bowling?). Regardless, We'll cook out, get a fire going, drink some beers and just have an all around good time.

Sunday - Should you have not left the area Saturday night come back over and and we'll figure out either a breakfast or brunch. Again, details as the meet gets closer.

My Address and other information:

73 Scotts Lane, Angier NC, 27501.
PM Me if you need my phone number.

September 12th (Night) , 13th (All day) and 14th (Everyone out by early afternoon on sunday).

Hotel Information!

For those of you coming from out of town, this hotel is literally about 10 minutes (Exactly 5 miles) from my house, in a low traffic, low density area. It's rated pretty good as well. Rates are anywhere from 65-100 dollars a night. It is the only one that is really close to my place. Everything else is a 20-30 minutes drive, so reserve now.

Lastly, I can NOT confirm that I will have a designated driver to shuttle people back to a hotel. So unless someone want's to volunteer that is staying late, please do not assume that you will be driven back to your hotel. You will not be leaving my house drunk, with keys in your hand.

As far as staying overnight at my house...well, Folks that have already showed interest in showing up and have asked about that already have a "reserved spot" so to speak. Unfortunately, I do not have all the room in the world to put people up over the night. With that being said, Shoot me a PM or a message on my facebook if you think you might need to stay overnight, we'll talk about it. But please, don't assume that you are automatically staying overnight. PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

You don't need a SHO to show up!

So, with a bunch of lead time to figure out vacation time...who's coming?!

Sam, this is a great idea! The only problem I have is we'll be on Hatteras Island, with the family, that weekend! :banghd:

Sorry DJ, It was really the only weekend we could lock in!

-Sam

If it was anything else, I'd try to rearrange things on my end, but we've had this weekend arranged since Christmas. I feel that your meet will have a great affect on the connection between the TSHOC and SESHO groups. Thanks for all that you do for our SHO family! :salute:
