Con't of a thread That I had on my 1994sho at Meineke for rotted out brake lines...I'm too old to be doing under car work anymore, and Meineke "gave up' after toying with it for 2 full weeks...They sure made some stupid mistakes in attempting to analyze the system, including the "plastc block'..Changed their minds, Said I need to have it towed out, they will not start replaceing brake lines, all are weak..... I found a nearby, small repair shop...and had it towed to him..
He's well respected, but not SHO familiar...He commenced rebuilding the ABS bundle...[wish he would have called me first, as I had a purchase lined up of the bundle [Keven's] }...He's almost finished...and hopes he can remember how all the " Stuff" goes back together that he had to remove...I saw it for first time today...Yikes..Anyhow, his concern is "How to Bleed the ABS sys"... Can anyone here tell us how this can be done ?...He does Not have access to any special tool or test box...? Nor any gravel road ..Ha! I read of the many owners that have redone their lines with SS..this question must have come up...Thnx in advance...
PS...the shop owner is an Ol Geezer too...and old school...

Shonut performance (shonutperformance.com) has pre-bent replacements for the hard brake lines. When people speak of SS replacement, it generally refers to braided steel flex lines that connect to the calipers. The ABS system is a Teves IV, used on many early 90's cars. The bleeder box tool is a Thexton 133. You should be able to get a reasonably firm pedal with conventional bleeding, doing nothing special to the ABS. Then drive to a gravel road and do a few hard stops that actuate the ABS. Then bleed the system again, and you should be good to go. Your mechanic might be able to borrow the box from a local ford dealer.

Many thnx to itwonder....This is exactly what me and the repair shop are looking to hear about...Have no access to a "known good working" Texton box...
I will pass this info to the shop...Hope the regular bleed works well enuf...as I can NOT think of a single "gravel road" that still exist here, to turn on the ABS...
Was sort hoping there was some other way to activate it...Assume few months from now a snow/ice covered road here in NJ will do... thnx very much...
