The 60K ???

Okay, im new to the SHO scene, and dont even have the car yet, but that is why im here....

This 60K maintenence keeps turning up in conversations, what is the deal, is it that terrible if the 60K hasnt been done, what are the reprocussions etc,

It isn't necessarily terrible but it should be done soon as preventative maintenance. The valve adjustment can cause damage on the cams if too far out of spec but that usually takes quite a long time before it actually happens. The biggest reason is that the water pump will go bad and drip on to the Crank Position Sensor. It will short out the sensor and then leave you stranded.
