Rumor has it that you can press the bearing out of a 96 and up SHO pulley into the 89-95 pullies. I remember reading it on the forum within the last six months. I got a new one from Ford about a year ago, they may now be obsolete, but my guy has gotten me many things (like a flywheel) that according to certain people (SHO Shop) are obsolete. Just last week he got me a T-belt tensioner, so I know that at least some of the parts are out there.

The GEN 3 idler pulley bearing is the same as the older SHOs tensioner pulley bearings. In fact the Gen 3 idler pulley is a direct replacement for either of the 3.0L pulleys. '99s are the best.

The pulley is only available as a Ford part. It has not been identified as being available from an aftermarket vendor.

Someone posted a week or two ago that they had obtained a bearing only and that it had been installed.

SEARCH for "Kaman" and contact that individual.

You have not provided enough information for your question to be accurately answered. Do you have a 3.0L (manual transaxle or MTX) or 3.2L (automatic transaxle or ATX) SHO? Which tensioner pulley? The 3.0L engine has three: one on each accessory belt (either the A/C-alternator belt or the power steering-water pump belt) and one on the timing belt. The 3.2L has two: one on the accessory belt and one on the timing belt. It will help in getting better answes to questions if you provide this information in your posts. An easy way to prevent from having to enter it each time is to add it to your signature in your "profile."
