tapping noise

the tapping noise i got (which i mentioned in another thread that died) i used the screwdriver method and it seems loudest on the intake manifold on the back tube where the DIS sits.

also got some smoke seems to be oil smoke coming from the exhaust so im think the vavle stem seals are going bad.

the question is what would be making the noise loudest from the intake?

i even tried the water pump but its extremely hard to get to so im not sure i can rule out the water pump making the noise.

i can repost another sound clip if needed.. i do have an exhaust leak so i know some noise is coming from there.

ok now i feel like more of a idiot...


my running rough problem was i had the firing order off and turns out the tapping sound was the timing belt hitting the cover and the 3.0 timing belt tentioner the nut came off and it was flopping around...

everything is working great now...

honestly i dont know what i post threads i usually get it on my own when im not trying to be lazy.



sorry if it sounds funny.... i havent gone to sleep yet its 10am and i woke up yesterday at 3 pm haha....
