It took 3 hours to install the radio...first I got the Pioneer CD Player, some Scosche thing that lets it work with the amps that was $20, and a harness...the wrong harness..

So after trying to get the wrong harness to work I decide to go back and look for a JBL one...and I find one...buy it and it fits fine, connect it all and it all works...

Now the hard part...Stuffing a pop tart package sized preamp thing, and a harness with 3 different connectors hanging off of it AND the radio into that tiny little bay...

It was a tight fit and took about 3 different locations for the harness and preamp **** to fit, but it finally did...

Now it's off to make a CD and go cruisin

BTW, the '89 SHO head units BOLT in, they dont have the 'slide and clip' style mounts. So you have to remove the dash trim, unbolt it, then pull it out.

A bit better design when thinking about theft, IMO. ;)
