I know that on the Gen I's the tail light gaskets collapse over time and allow water to leak into the trunk. I found that out from the SHO times website, and sealed them with silicone seal.

This morning I went out and found that my trunk was very wet on the driver's side. I sealed the tail lights on the inside and outside, so I don't think they are the issue.

Is it possible that the trunk is leaking in past the gasket? It's only on the left side, and the gasket is pretty torn up there.

Is there anything else it could be? This is maddening. headbang

Thanks

My 95 was leaking on the drivers side on the ledge inside the trunk above the light which would put a little water in the spare tire well. The hard caulk that they used had cracked and the water was seeping through from the trunk channel. The water would roll down the trunk lid channel then past the black pastic on the light and underneath. I pulled the light and then cracked away the hardened putty/caulk they used and resealed with body panel caulk. No more leaks. I can take some pictures later tonight if you want.
