Well, ever since i've had my '92 the tach was slow. Like, it wasn't in time with the motor. Like if i bliped the throttle, it would barely move. But then if i was ringing out the gears, it was perfect. I know i don't need it, since i only need it when i WOT, plus you can also hear the motor when its near red line. But for the fact of having it and when my mother drives the car..lol I would like it to be fully operational all the time.

I have a short video to explain my problem more:

Any help is would be great.

Yep, looks like the needle is hanging up on the overlay. ;)

Thanks guys, yea. I was wondering that. I did remove the EATC a while back, i guess i should fool around with it more.

What should i do like? To help it not bind up?

Lots of double sided tape?? I couldnt view the movie that you made, but I am assuming that you have white faced gauges?? Cause I have WFGs and i only used only a little bit of double sided on the back or the fuel gauge and coolant temp gage overlay and it was hanging up on my gas needle.

The dash removal may have disturbed the backing. Are the tach/speedo/fuel &temp parts separate or is it all one piece?
I would open it up and move the tach by hand to see where it binds, then adjust the backing as needed. It might even need to be removed and trimmed around the needle opening a tiny bit.

Edit: be aware you'll be working near the aribag so be careful.
