Upgraded to the latest Sync version (Gen1 - V3.2.2) a few weeks ago which included improved voice recognition ... and since I upgraded, I can now text with my Blackberry. This feature is very cool as I can listen to a text while driving and also respond with predetermined quotes.

Nothing new as far as I can see. Text messaging does not work with my phone still.

3.2.2 not for the 2010.....but I think 3.1 for the 2010 is virtually the same....

I finally have my Sync figured out for the most part, and it works with my new phone, so I'm almost afraid to update it since it is working great and knowing how I do things, I would probably just screw it up!

I have heard and someone reported earlier that those of us with a 2010 cannot upgrade. v3.1 is the latest version and in all likelihood will not be updated anymore. I hope I am wrong and that Ford will have an update but that is what I've heard.

Please wait for a Sync Agent to respond.

Thank you for contacting the Ford & Lincoln-Mercury Sync Support Center.

You are now chatting with 'Shannon'

How may I assist you?

you: I have heard that there is supposed to be a sync update for my taurus sho and that others have downloaded and installed it but i do not see an available update for my vehicle

Shannon: May I have the VIN please?

you: VIN: 1FAH P2K T2AG 154211

Shannon: Thank you.

Shannon: Please hold one moment while I research your concern. This may take up to 3 minutes.

you: ok

Shannon: You're welcome.

Shannon: Thank you for holding.

Shannon: The update you are referring to is for 2011 vehicles. You have the latest software version for your vehicle.

Shannon: Are you having some issues with your unit?

you: Do you know if they are going to release an update for 2010 vehicles or are we going to be left behind?

you: No, but I would like more functionality with my phone

Shannon: If there are any enhancements that need to be done for your vehicle, an update will be released. As of now, there are no updates available. If you signed up to receive emails on notifications of updates, you will be notified by email.

Shannon: You phone features are dependent upon the carrier of the phone.

you: Ok, thanks

Shannon: You're welcome.

Shannon: If you have any other questions I will be happy to answer them, if not please take a few seconds to let my Boss know how I did today by clicking on the word "Close" in the chat window and filling out my exit survey. I would really appreciate it.
I just did an online "chat" with someone on the sync website and that update is only for 2011 vehicles. I asked if those of us with 2010 vehicles were going to be left behind and was told that if there was a need for an update they would release one.

*Chef Ramsey Voice* Ohh **** off!

wait, i thought 2010 and 2011 SHO's were identical; why would there be an update for 2011 and not 2010?

the dealer I work at is currently pulling cars from the lots with my touch and reflashing/reprograming them. Was told that ford is slowly re doing the entire coding of the system.

I have a BlackBerry 9700 and the recent upgrade enabled texting, where it historically did not. Unfortunately, it does not always work. I'll sometimes get a text on my phone while driving, but it is not received by Sync. Good luck with future upgrades and compatibility with your phone.

Now I have noticed that my iPod takes forever to start playing when I start the car. Before upgrade, if I switched Media to USB, iPod would instantly start playing. Now it takes a good minute or two before i hear anything.

Anyone else having this issue after upgrade? This sucks.

I cant select line in unless I unplug the usb drive from the car. Not sure if it did that before, but it's annoying. Slacker radio wouldn't play over bluetooth, and it's really quiet line in.
