Hello,
Other issues with my car aside, my phone will no longer connect via blutooth to sync. It started off as just not connecting for media. Ive tried un-pairing sync on my phone, ive tried the factory reset on the radio.
My phone connects completely fine to all of my other BT devices including the radio in my other car.
Any ideas?

Unpair, both from the car, and from the phone.

Disconnect the battery and wait for 15 minutes. Even a "master reset" doesn't necessarily completely reset everything, I've found.

In my many trials and tribulations with my 2013 with Sync MFT 2, I found that disconnecting the battery cleared up certain things.

Also, what version software are you running? What phone?

The battary reset seemed to have worked. Took a while for everything to settle and start working again.

On my 2013, I started having some weird issues with the MFT system (Phone wouldn't connect, system would not switch between inputs like FM, SiriusXM, CD... volume **** would not work). It actually showed up right after tuning, so I suspected that. But I was totally wrong. I went onto the Ford SyncMyRide website, registered my car. Found that it had a update...you download the update to a USB stick on your computer. Walk out to your car, plug said USB stick into your center console USB port. Follow the instructions. Super easy. Once I installed the latest update, the MFT has been flawless. You may want to register on the Syncmyride website and enter you VIN etc. See if you need/have an update.

no that's not right - they had a major update mid-13 and that fixed a lot of issues as Angela pointed out above.

I would stop and see the dealer's service department, because there have been several Sync updates since 12/2009.

Try disabling wifi on your phone, then get in and start the car, see how it goes. I used an app called a2dp volume on my android phone that auto disables wifi when it starts connecting to the car and fixed a ton of my issues

There has been at least one update for sync for the 2010 models but there have been more for vehicles with MyFord Touch. The ones for MyFord Touch are not applicable to cars without that interface.
